Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Illinois

Serve Lawyer in Small Claims?

I don't have a current address for the person I want to sue in small claims, but I do have an address for her attorney that I've been dealing with. Can I send the process service papers to her attorney?

No-Unless the lawyer agrees to accept service on behalf of his or her client. Otherwise, you must serve the person either personally, via abode service or by publication (with leave of court).

I hope this helps.
