My roommate and I moved out of a rental home and cleans all weekend to make sure it was spotless. Almost a year later we get a letter say they needed to paint because of heavy smoke damage and that the kitchen was caked in crud. How do we fight was we can't prove we did? Or should I get ahold of the new renters pre-inspection form to see if they reported it that bad?
