Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Illinois

lawn mower

Last year our landlord raised our rent $50 because we were using her riding lawn mower to mow the grass. The mower has stopped working and now we have to provide our own mower, do we legally have to pay her that $50 still? Nowhere, in the lease do I see where it says we are responsible for mowing the yard.

Re: lawn mower

It does not sound like it is your responsibility from what you are telling me. Therefore, you are not responsible for the $50 either. However, I would need to examine the lease thoroughly before giving a final opinion.
