Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Illinois

I am renting an apartment and just found out that my landlord hasn't been paying the mortgage for the property since Sept. 2009 there is a preforclosure notice out already and is going to be on forclosure pretty soon. My landlord hasn't told me anything I found this on a website and he is still coming to collect my rent. What should I do about this? Am I supposed to still pay the rent to him even though he's pretty much lost the property already?

So long as your landlord is still the record owner of the property, he is entitled to collect rent from you. Your lease with him is still a valid obligation, and he can evict you for failure to pay.
