Income From Accident Settlement
In a marriage, is long term income earned from the investment of a cash settlement of a law suit due to an accident that occurred before the marriage, considered a non marital asset, or is it just the original settlement amount itself that is non marital?

I would argue that the classification
of the original settlement continues
and includes the long term investment.
In other words, I believe that the
long term investment constitutes non-
marital property.
