Legal Question in Product Liability in Illinois

Selling something ''as is''

I was wondering I sold a hot tub on ebay and put in there that it was being sold as is. But now the people who bought it say that the heater doesn't work, but I did test it and it worked when I posted my ad. They are wanting money to help pay for the new heater, what should I do?

This is a question for Solomon more than a lawyer - I would offer to split it with them but it's your eBay feedback in question.

Legally, "as is" means just that....they bought it as it "was".
