force sell

waiting for brotherlaw to sell his half,

won't reply to myn husband; they had

settled on aprice. Can we force him to

buy my husband half before the house

becomes or is worth nothing?

The short answer is that you can usually force a sale of property to get out of joint ownership. But you cannot usually force the other owner to buy you out. Meaning, if you find someone to buy the house, you can usually force the sale to go through.
