Can I sue my condo association?
I bought a condo on Dec 4th 2006. The building has an intercom system for buzzing people in the door. I filled out the request to have the intercom linked to my phone number. I called after a week because it wasn't done and I have to have anyone coming to my home phone me and let me know they are downstairs and then take the elevator down and let them in. It has now been almost a month and I was told the old management company won't tell the new management company how to program the intercom system. This situation has become very inconvenient since I live at the far end of the 2nd floor hallway and have to always go down to let anyone in. Do I have any recourse in this situation? The management company said the association is taking the old company to court but who knows how long that will take.

Hello. I can understand your frustration here. You should write
to the Board of the condominium association and complain. In theory
you could retain some of the monthly
condo assessment money to compensate
you for having to be inconvenienced
in this manner. Will be happy to discuss this matter with you further and in more detail.
