Legal Question in Social Security Law in Illinois

I am filing for social security this year and I was married for 17 years and have been divorced since 1984. My question is I have no way of getting my ex's social security number as I plan on filing on her earnings as hers was more than mine, will the social security Administration look up this number fo me? when I file. I have also tried to get old tax records but it seems they don't keep them that long

SSA has some nifty programs including one that can find your ex's SSN. You will have to supply her name(s) and date of birth.
