Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois

profiling..

I procedded to drive on my way to work,a police car was to the left of me. The speed limit was 40mph.I was not speeding and no cars were behind me.The police car got over behind me and in 30sec. pulled me over.The officer came to the window and aske dfor license and registration.I responded can I ask what I'm being pulled over for..He said we'll get to that just give me your license and reggistration. I did.He went to his car for about3-5 mins. I see another officer pull up.He comes back to my car and tells me to get out.. Iget out and ask why am I being stopped he said driving on suspended license.he said stand behind the car and put your hands behind your back.I did.I said are you arresting me, he said yes and NEVER read me my rights.

We need more facts. Generally, if the police ran your license plate before pulling you over and the information returned shows that the driver/owner has a suspended license they can legally conduct a stop, all other things being equal.
