Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Illinois

I have a family member listed on my will to be executor of my estate who I no longer want on this document. The lawyer who drew up these documents told me I must list three people. My first 2 people are fine, but I do not have a third person to fill this spot. Advice?

That doesn't sound right. Are you sure that's what the lawyer said? Are you giving all the facts? Something is not right here. Almost always there's only one person as executor, sometimes two, but never 3 except in some extreme wild circumstances. Are you talking about Successor Executors?

Good luck.
