Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Illinois

My mother passed away 3 years ago. I am just now able to mentally go through her paperwork. I ran across a quick claim deed that was notarized and signed by 2 witnesses I do not think it was filed with the courts. Is this enough to get the house in my name as I am the only child. Father passed away 4 years prior to her.
