Who get the share of joint ownership property if one of the owners dies?

There are various forms of joint ownership. For purposes of responding to your question, I will assume you are referring to "joint tenancy with right of survivorship." If property is owned in this manner, then upon the death of one of the joint tenants, the surviving joint tenant (or joint tenants, if there are more than two owners) gets the entire property.
