Legal Question in Workers Comp in Illinois

I fell at work. Went to the ER then to a ortho. It took workmans comp over five weeks to contact me. I did not start treatment until seven weeks after I fell because of lack of communication with workmans comp. My file was left on someones desk and not forwarded for five weeks. I am still in therapy because of it. Do I have a claim?

You have a WC claim which you need to pursue either yourself or through an attorney. Chances are, you would benefit from the help of an attorney who would not allow a file be left on someone's desk for weeks. Remember that you have no friends in this proceedings. The case worker is not on your side, the adjuster is definitely not on your side and your employer is not on your side. Every one is out there to short change you-without an attorney you will probably short sell your case because the other side is simply way better equipped to deal with this situation than you. I strongly suggest you speak with an attorney.

I hope this helps-
