Legal Question in Workers Comp in Illinois

leg injury

I have just graduated from college and am a firefighter/paramedic. I am on a volunteer dept but as full time i worked at hospital as patien transporter. April 20, 2009 I tore my meniscus tendon and then threw DVT(clot) 13cm in my leg. have had to take leave of absence from dept and have been off work ever since. My question is this? I have lost 2 offers from other depts and have been told my leg will never be the same again. Can I get comped for the jobs I could have had and what is the % of PPD am I looking at ? Have to have clot removed and then meniscus tendon repaired. I live in IL I am getting TTD for now but not even enough to pay my bills and have lost major overtime cuz of this! any help?
