Firm Registration

I want to start a new Broker Firm. Dealing in Agri products. Please let me know that whether registration of firm is required or not. Also can I start Import Export activities through same firm.

For opening a Partnership Firm registration is not mandatory in law but u can't start export-import biz through the same firm. There are several other legal formalities and compliance to follow before doing EXIM Biz.

Registration is not compulsory but agreement in writing is necessary to get the firm registered. Written agreement is required of the firm if the firm wants to be assessed under the income tax. Written agreement is admissable to established the existence of the firm and to prove the rights and liablities.

well you can straightaway start your business by registering the office in your local municpal office and labour office but a firm registration is not mandatory and moreover it can be registered in the Registrar of Firms only if its a partnership firm and not by an individual or a proprietor.

it is adviced to get the firm registered though not mendatory.

there are many other legal formalities and registration will help.

u can use this firm for other purposes also but mention it in ur agreement.
