Cheque Bounce Case

Dear Sir/madam, I was threatened and asked to give cheques for an excess amount than what i actually owe to that particular person. I had subsequently given stop payment to the same with the bank. Now incase he presents the chqs and he files a chequs bounce case on me, what shld i do as a precautionary measure?

I have already give you the reply, but one more thing i would like to add here, is to send a demand draft of the amount you actualy owe to that person. so it will give your case good backing if the offence under 138 is filed. Also write letter with the draft, stating your facts.

You might have to firstly file complaint with district consumer forum complaining the threats gien by bank and then you should have stopped the payment but since there is a lapse on your part,hence,you shall have to sent appropriate reply to their notice.
