how to add my name to the realestate property which is on my husband's name
Hello, we have recently bought two plots worth 14 lakhs in India, city hyderabad. we stay in usa. Now i asked my husband to add my name too to that property. he says it costs 50k. Is it true, does it cost so much, please let me know

In the event another name is to added as a joint owner your husband has to make a release deed adding you name and this will attract Stamp duty plus regitration fees. I cannot say how much, but that will be between 1% to 3% of the value of the property plus registration expences.

Your husband can get your name added by way of Gift deed in respect of Half portion and also by way of release deed and in both cases stamp duty and registration charges.So your husband is right.The cost can be higher also.
