Landlord -Tenant Issues
After a dispute with my Landlord about 3 months ago, I started paying my rent in form of Account Payee Cheques (before that I was paying cash but got no receipts). Landlord has started accepting the Cheques, but he has not encashed them yet. There has been no written agreement between us. What should I do in this situation? Should I continue paying rent in the form of cheques?

You should better make payment in future by bank drafts (banker's cheques). So long as you intend making regular payments, there should be no problem for you. If he is not encashing cheques and you do not have any receipt of the same, you may also try sending money order. The object is that you should make regular payment and that the money should be received by him. Merely sending cheques, without receipt from landlord, may not be sufficient unless you could prove that the cheque was received by him.
