succession certificate
we have a succession certificate in favour of my mother,that we got after the death of my father.my grandmother was alive at the time we got the succession certificate.my grandmother is now dead and my paternal uncle is claiming a share from his mother.please let me know whether his claim is of any value considering that succession certificate is only in favour of my mother.

if your grandmother was alive at the time of grant of succession certificate, she was entitled to the equal share of assessts of your father if your father died without any will etc. and after her death all her sons and daughter are entitled to the same equally.

yes he has a right to claim his mother's share.
