Can the child's ,other's mother charge for day care if the father is willing and able to provide it for free

In Indiana, the custodial mother is obligated to ask the noncustodial father first if he wants to/can provide child care. If he cannot, only THEN she can go to third parties for the care.

This is called the "right of first refusal."

The right, and others you might not be aware of, are found in the Indiana Parenting Time Guidelines.
