Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Indiana

Possible Fraud

I was in the employ of a company that has the practice of charging employees a $ 400 training fee agains't their earnings if you quit in less then 6 months employment . Most employees attend a 4 or 5 day orientation in which they do receive a sort of training . I my instance , all I had to do was take a drug test and a driving test which I feel was not $ 400 worth of training . Do I have any chance to try and get the monies taken from me for the possible fraud that they commited for charging me for training I never received ?

Re: Possible Fraud

Sounds like a possible class action case against the employer. If your employer threatens to charge you this $400 "training fee", you might suggest that an attorney considers it to be a matter for a very enriching class action case. Of course, more details are required. So ask your local bar association for a referral to someone with class action expertise (which would exclude me). Good luck.
