Legal Question in Employment Law in Indiana

Wrongful Termination was it or wasn't it?

My husband was fired unexpectly from his job last year for locking a break room by which upper management had gave him permission to do so. He had worked for this company for 20 years, never missed a day of work, and had many recognitions from the company. It took almost 5 months to get unemployment started by which the court sided with him. Now the company has admitted to wrongful termination. This was not a fly by night job, we had investments with this company to which my husband was going to retire. In the process of all this we lost a house, had to move to another city, and uproot our children. My question is can we sue this company for back pay plus mental anguish and then some.

Re: Wrongful Termination was it or wasn't it?

In order to evaluate whether your husband has a basis on which to sue this company, I would need more information. I would be happy to discuss your husband's situation in more detail with you by telephone. It is important that you act quickly though, because there may be a statute of limitations that applies to your husband's claim. If you would like to discuss further feel free to contact me at (812) 424-1002.
