can a doctor get addicted to a drug and then dump you as a patient jepordizing your job and livlihood?

Can a doctor become addicted to a drug, certainly, just like anyone else. He or she also has the right to accept a patient and to stop seeing a patient subject to some restrictions such as an emergency.
