Legal Question in Personal Injury in Indiana

My daughter was hurt on school grounds do to altercation between 2 other students. We had to take her to emergency room for Xrays and medical attention. My husband was forced to miss work to take her to the emergency room. The altercation has now caused a medical bill and lost of wages for 1 night, by Indiana law who is responsible for this?
