Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Indiana

Our fence is not on the property line. Our neighbor said that if the fence is already there we can not move it to the property line. We both are in agreement where the property line is. Can we move it? We live the country.

The answer may depend on how long the existing fence has been where it is and other facts that are not posted. Please repost with more facts concerning how long the fence has been at its' present location, whose side of the property line the fence is still on and who has taken care ofthe property that is on the neighbor's side of the fence.
