Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Indiana

Property Line

We have allowed the ederly lady next door to use part of our property with the understanding should she move or pass, all items on our property should be moved. She now has a live in boyfriend who is expanding farther on to our property and is saying that the lady purchased the property from the previous owner. I want to make sure we are within our legal right to ask them to move everything should the lady pass away. She has a storage building on our property.

Re: Property Line

There are different ways of dealing with this. The least expensive and confrontational way would be to get the lady to sign a license agreement that spells out her right to use that land (and limitations on that right). The other way is a quiet title lawsuit that would result in a court order to the same effect. If you need help with either, feel free to call.
