Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Indiana

Rental House

I am renting a house and the occupants are trying to have my house condemned, this was triggered due to non payment of rent and me telling them they had to move. What are the laws or codes on condemning a home?

Re: Rental House

I am not sure about the answer to this question. My sense is that whether a home can be "condemned" is a function of BOTH state and locality (city or county) laws---and the degree to which the structure is either unsafe or in violation of health code requirements. We would be happy to look into this if you are needing a lawyer.
