Re: vacation of platted property

A "plat" is map of a section of land that has been subdivided into lots showing the location and boundaries of individual parcels with the streets, alleys, easements, and rights of use over the land of another. Vacating the plat means erasing these details, and, based on your inquiry, it appears that a new plat is being substituted in its place. It is indeed possible that your particular parcel is affected, although it is impossible to say without further information.
