Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa

My stepbrother is POA and executor of my stepmother's estate. She is currently in a nursing home in Illinois. He recently moved his stepdaughter into our family home and did not ask us for permission. The young woman is going through things and disposing of some things, at his request. What can we do?

I don't see where he's obliged to ask your permission to have somebody live in the home as he does have the power of attorney. If expensive things are being disposed of you can petition the court to establish a conservatorship to protect the assets of the estate.
