Legal Question in Employment Law in Iowa

I was on long term disability through my employer until I was eligible for social security disability. Social security sent me a check for backpay covering the time I was off from work. Now, the long term diability people want me to pay them back for those same months thatsocial security gave me back pay for. Do I have to repay them or do I keep the back pay for myself.
