Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Iowa

Recently I broke up with my boyfriend. A year ago we filmed a home video of us having intercourse. Now, I'm terrified with the idea that he could do something with it. I have asked him to give it back to me so that we can destroy it, but he refuses. Unfortunately I was aware he was filiming. I just graduated from college and I'm afraid if that goes public, my future employers will find it. I am sure he can do many things with it. He has even threaten me with it. Is there anything I can do to get the video back or at least to make sure the video is not going to be public?

This is problem that should be addressed quickly and by an attorney. I would suggest you immediately seek proper legal advice by hiring a lawyer to protect your privacy. Your previous boyfriend’s threats, if any, may amount to the crime of extortion. Your future is at stake and any threat to it needs to be immediately addressed. I’ve seen a case like this settled for $100,000.00 where the tape was shown to a group of men for laughs and giggles. Obviously it was not so funny to the young lady.
