Can a designated power of attorney change attorneys and not okay it with the person who has designated them the power of attorney

I'm confused. Are you asking whether a person who has given a power of attorney to some person can object if the "some person" decides to use one lawyer or another? How is that relevant?

It would depend on the purpose, and whether the authority granted to the agent allows this.
