Legal Question in Family Law in Kansas

Can I be made to sign over the deed to our home?

My husband filed for divorce...we have been married four months. I quit my job of twenty years and moved to Kansas and worked for him. I never saw the money...he bought the house and put his name on the mortgage..not mine. I did sign the deed to our home. Can I be made by his attorney to sign the deed over to him?

Do not sign anything for his attorney. Get yoru own, or reconcile with your husband. You have a property interest in the family home. You may also have a wage and hour claim for back pay.

There are way too many variables to completeing prepare you through this list serve. Hire an attorney (your husband might even have to pay his fees) and go over all the particulars with them. They should be able to advise you as to your options.

Good Luck
