Legal Question in Traffic Law in Kansas

I was a passenger in a friends truck which was pulled over. The police asked if there was any alcohol and I said there was some in the backseat and that it was mine. The police gave me a ticket for transportation of a open container. I'm 24 years old have a clean record and not sure on what to do about this. Thanks for your help.

You need to consult directly with an attorney in the area where the incidnet occurred. They will need to lokk at the facts specific to yrou case in order to give you advice. Many attorneys offer a free or low cost intial consultation. Itmight turn out that you do not need an attorney to represnt you in court, but it is better to find that out before you are convicted.
