emergency power of attorney

we have had our mother placed in the hospital for mental health reasons, how do we fill an emergency power of attorney?

As a former assistant county attorney who handled mental inquest (commitment) and guardianship cases for 18 years, it seems that the more appropriate question is how to obtain emergency guardianship. Even if your mother were willing to sign a power of attorney, if she is hospitalized for psychiatric reasons, her ability to provide informed consent to the pOA would be questionable.

Your local county attorney's office should be able to assist you further.
