Legal Question in Employment Law in Kentucky

I am a white female, my super is a black female, her super is a black male and my only coworker is a black male. I found out my super and coworker got raises last year when I did not. My super lied and told me no one got raises until this year, which means this is my first raise with the company and their second. I am a hard worker, do what the boss asks and never miss work. I feel I have been discriminated against because I am white. Also, our company handbook mentions nothing about determining how raises are given.Do I have a case?

Probably not. You would have to prove the reason you did not get a raise was because of your race, and not because of your job performance. Likely, if you press them for a reason, they will tell you that you just didn't earn one, or that the others worked harder than you, etc. Proving discrimination is very difficult. However, if you feel you can prove it, and there is no other basis for not giving you a raise, take your employment materials to a local attorney for a full consult.
