What legal support is there for using a keylogger that was installed on a victim's computer by a cyberstalker to find the stalker as well as pertinent information regarding the stalker?

I think you are fine doing that. It is your computer and you are only investigating their invasion of your privacy. You should report it to the police, if you have not already.
