Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Louisiana

Deceased parent's credit card debt signed by children

My father has a great amount of debt, but some things he pays and one is my gas bill with use of a credit card. He makes minimum monthly payments. The consequence of me getting the gas however, is that I have to sign the card receipts. Now, my question is, will the debt be transferred to me if my name is on the receipts when he passes away?

Not legally. Just because you are an authorized user on the account does not make you liable on the account.
