community property debt
In my divorce m ex and I are
required to split the house note.
Neither of us reside there anymore
and it is on the market to be sold. I
can no longer afford to maintain 2
house payments. He is threatening
to garnish my wages. Can he do
this? I live in TX now, the
proceedings were in LA.

If LA is the state where the divorce was filed, you need to talk to a LA attorney.
