Legal Question in Personal Injury in Louisiana

can I write a letter to the person who was intimate with my boyfriend?

My friend is over 50 has been dating a man for the last 8 years who is over 60. The do not live together but are intimate and until recently my friend thought it was monogamus. She discovered he had been sexually active with this other woman for the last three months. Does she have the right to write this woman a letter asking her if she has any sexual diseases from prior partners that could have been transmitted to her?

Re: can I write a letter to the person who was intimate with my boyfriend?

She can do whatever she wants....but my first impression is she wants to use that as an excuse to inform the woman that her lover is fooling around. So, if she wants to dump the guy, then dump him cuz the letter will do that. Plus, no matter what the other woman says, how would you know it is the truth. I can just see her writing back and saying "yes, I have aids, gonorrhea, syphilis, and vaginal warts, how about you...." If you really want the truth, I think testing is the only way to find that....

She can write a letter but the other woman can tell her that it is none of her business. In fact, the other woman is free to tell her just about anything.
