Legal Question in Traffic Law in Louisiana

legal rights of a rental company

I rented a car locally and my 19 year old daughter needed a vehicle for an errand she had to do for work, so i let her use the rental even though she was not a designated driver. Go figure she got into an accident and my insurance company said she was covered no matter what vehicle she drives they are taking care of the repairs. I need to know what type of legal rights does the rental company have against us? Can they sue me for my home, etc. No one was majorly injured, just strains. Yes my daughter was faulted, but we are contesting the ticket since the officer did not ask my daughters side of the story. I am extremely worried about what will happen to my family. I can barely afford to live without all this. What do I need to prepare for? Will I need an attorney? Please help as soon as possible. The accident happened today 1-30-03.

Re: legal rights of a rental company

Get a copy of the police report and your insurance policy ASAP and consult with a lawyer. You probably will be OK but you can't be too careful.
