Maine DUI

If you do not show up to court for a DUI hearing and move to New Jersey, can they catch up with you?

Yes. Eventually. A warrant will be issued for your arrest for failing to appear. You will not be able to get/renew a driver's license while you have an open warrant. If you areever stopped (for any reason) a police officer will run your license through the computer and arrest you if there is an open warrant.

Please contact my office if you wish to discuss further; my parter is licensed in Maine and I am licensed in New Jersey.

It is most likely that Maine will suspend your driving privileges for not appearing in court. Eventually that will prevent you from being licensed in any other state.

Call me if you like.

Of course. They will issue a warrant for your arrest and you'll be picked up at some point. Doubt you'll be sent back to ME though.
