alimony

i have been married for 27 yrs and my husband has a good retirement and ss. can i get a poortion of that. we are separated at this time. iam 65 and have arithritis.

With a marriage of that length, there would be a presumption of alimony. Therefore any separation agreement should also incorporate some support from him to you. The actual amount/details could be determined after a consultation by an atty of all the facts, and some negotiations with your husband.
