Legal Question in Business Law in Maryland
payment for services rendered
will the BBB be able to assist me in getting paid for services rendered ? The contractor the job was assigned through has not paid the $16,584.00 owed and I haven't been able to pay my workers as a result.

This isn't something in which the BBB gets involved. You may be able to file a mechanics lien against the property to preserve your claim, or you can file a collection suit in court.

The BBB can try to convince them to pay, but it is unlikely to be successful. You may have mechanics lien rights and/or the right to hold the contractor personally liable. See a lawyer quickly, as lien rights must be asserted in a timely manner.
