Legal Question in Business Law in Maryland

I am considering starting a topless/nude cleaning service in Maryland and offering services in Virginia and Maryland as well. I would be doing light housekeeping topless or nude in the client's home or office. There will be no sexual acts involved and would possibly look into hiring other ladies as well. I plan on starting this business from my home but would like to know if this is illegal and how should I proceed with starting this business.

Starting an in home business for legal purposes is ok so long as you have the proper licenses required. You would need to sit down with an attorney to discuss what registration and licenses you will need will be.

You will probably need some research done on local ordinances to determine whether the type of services you are suggesting are accepted in the Maryland and/or Virginia locales you are trying to have services rendered.

You will also have to look into your employees and have control of what services they may or may not offer to clients. This type of business is a very slippery slope so I would strongly suggest planning this out with an attorney and accountant. Feel free to contact our office for a consultation.
