Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Maryland

Can an illegal allian sue a U.S citizen?

I have a question regarding wither or not an illegal alien can sue a U.S citizen in small claims court? The dispute is over a damaged digital camera and the plaintiff is demanded three hundred dollars compensation for damages done to the camera while in the possession of the defendant. The plaintiff has been living in the country illegally for about 18 months; does she have the right to take legal action?

Yes. Immigration status has nothing to do with the right to protect one's legal rights in court.
