mechanical lein

we sued and won a small claims judgement. the person claimed bankruptcy. he has since opened another bizness. can i put a mech. lein on him?

If you were a scheduled creditor in his bankruptcy proceeding, then in all likelihood your debt/judgment has been discharged, especially if it was a Chapter 7 bankruptcy. You would have received legal papers from the bankruptcy court if you were scheduled. Under those circumstances, you can no longer collect your debt. However, if you weren't part of the bankruptcy, your judgment is still valid and you can try to attach any assets you can locate, such as a bank account in his name.
