Legal Question in Personal Injury in Maryland

5 year ''Stat. of Lim.'' about to run out

I was injured in a hotel/elevator accident in another state (MO) due to both companies being nationwide the suit could be placed against them in MD, extending the time limit to 5 years vs 3 years (I have this in writing from the attorney who was handling this case) Attorney dropped this suit earlier this year but it is really bothering me that my hands are tied & I cannot do anything as they were definitely at fault, and I had 6 witnesses to prove that. With such a short time left to file any type of law suit (August 17, 2004) can I do this myself in MD District Court or is there an attorney out there who would like to give it a try - even a phone call to the two companies! My previous lawyer stated in his last letter that he will forward all papers to who ever may take this over. There were witnesses - all of this paperwork is w/attorney. When injury fist occurred the ins. sent $10,000 instantly to cover any medical, lawyer was astonished with that amount...but it just died from there. Thanks for reading. PAG

I have tried calling some local Attorneys but they ask :did you have surgery'' when I say no, that all I hear from them.
