Legal Question in Personal Injury in Maryland

Statute of Limitations

The statute of limitations will expire on the 9th of September of 2003 (this year). My case qualifies for removal. If when suit is filed in the state courts of Maryland, if the case is removed to federal courts, 1) what is the statute of limitations for torts under federal law; and, 2) if the statute of limitations has expired for federal law and my case IS removed, will I be barred from relief? Thank you for your time.

Statutes of limitations are determined by the law of the state frome where the case arose in a diversity matter. Your statute of limitations date will not be affected by removal to the federal court.
